This coastal town is much more laid-back than Marrakech, and is the perfect place to relax. The sandy beaches, mild weather, and location on the Atlantic make it a great place for surfing and kitesurfing, and the medina and fishing port are interesting places to wander.

Gentle, regular waves, and consistent winds make Essaouira a good place for beginners. It’s alos a great place to try kitesurfing if that takes your fancy.
